Tmailor Temp Mail extension privacy policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This policy explains what the Tmailor Temp Mail browser extension stores, what it sends to Tmailor, and what it never collects. The general Tmailor privacy policy also applies.
What the extension stores on your device
Your temporary addresses and the keys needed to open their inboxes, your sign-in session if you connect a Tmailor account, your settings, and the list of sites where you turned suggestions on. This data stays in the extension's storage in your browser and is removed when you uninstall the extension. Because the extension stays in sync with tmailor.com, the same addresses and sign-in are also kept by tmailor.com in this browser's site storage; that copy is managed by the website and is not removed when you uninstall the extension. Clear all in the settings deletes the addresses kept on this device (also on Tmailor), signs you out here and on tmailor.com, and removes the extension data on this device; addresses saved to your Tmailor account stay in your account. If Tmailor can't be reached, the addresses it could not delete stay in the list so you can try again.
Sync with tmailor.com
The extension always stays in sync with tmailor.com in this browser. On tmailor.com pages it reads and updates the website's own storage for your current address, your list of addresses and your sign-in, so the extension and the website show the same address and the same account. If you are signed in on tmailor.com, the extension signs in with the same account automatically. If you disconnect this browser from your account page, the extension stays signed out until you sign in again. Signing out in the extension also signs you out on tmailor.com, and the other way around. An address you use while signed in on tmailor.com is saved to that account. When you are signed in, the popup shows your account picture, which is loaded from Google without sending a referrer.
What the extension sends to Tmailor
Requests to create, check and delete your temporary addresses, to sign in and stay signed in, and to receive new-email alerts. Each request includes the browser name and extension version so we can keep it working. Our servers see your IP address: we use it to limit abuse, and we keep the approximate country of each browser you connect so you can recognize it on your account page. We do not send the pages you visit, the sites where you use an address, or anything you type into other fields. In Chrome and Edge, the extension also sends an anonymous signal when it is installed or updated, and once a day while it is in use. The signal contains only the browser name and the extension version, with no address, account or identifier; we use it to count installs and active users and to stop new-email alerts to browsers where the extension was turned off or removed. The Firefox version does not send it. If you uninstall the extension, your browser opens a short page on tmailor.com that asks why. We count each time this page opens, with only the extension version. Answering is optional; if you answer, we receive only the reason you picked and the extension version, without your addresses or your account, and we use your IP address only to limit repeated answers.
Access to web pages
The extension looks at a page only when you ask it to fill an email field (right-click menu or keyboard shortcut), on sites where you turned suggestions on, and on tmailor.com to stay in sync. You can turn suggestions on one site at a time, or for all websites at once; for all websites, your browser first asks you to allow the extension on every site, and you can turn this off again in the settings or exclude single sites. To find the right field, it checks the field's attributes and a short part of the form's text inside your browser; this check is never stored or sent to Tmailor. Suggestions are blocked on a built-in list of banking, payment, government and sign-in sites, and on forms that look like sign-in, password reset or card payment forms. When you ask it to fill a field yourself, it fills the field you chose.
Emails and ads
Emails are read on tmailor.com. The popup shows only the sender and the subject. The extension itself shows no ads. tmailor.com pages, including the page where you read an email, show Google ads to keep the service free; the extension does not send its data, your sign-in or your emails to advertisers.
Sharing
We do not sell your data, and we use it only to run Tmailor. We share data only with providers that run the service for us: Cloudflare (hosting, security and the human verification page) and your browser's push service (Google, Microsoft, Mozilla or Apple), which delivers new-email alerts that contain only the address and a counter, never the email content. Ads on tmailor.com pages are provided by Google, which may use cookies on those pages under its own policies. Tmailor's use and transfer of information received from the extension adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your choices
You can delete any address from the popup, turn off alerts or suggestions in the extension settings, disconnect a browser from your account page, and delete your addresses and extension data with Clear all.
